NOC: Individuals shut down valve on Hamada–Zawiya oil pipeline

Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported that individuals shut down a valve on the Hamada–Zawiya crude oil pipeline on Thursday, warning that the closure would result in production losses, affecting oil output levels and revenues. In a statement, the NOC said individuals entered the crude oil receiving station operated by the Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO), adjacent to the Zawiya refinery, and closed the isolation valve at the end of the 18-inch crude oil pipeline without prior knowledge or coordination with the relevant technical and operational authorities.
